COBUS VP RESIGNS
Cites irreconcilable differences with COBUS administration. Says she was surrounded by those content with mediocrity.
Less than five months after being installed as VP of The College of The Bahamas Union of Students (COBUS) Ada Kenriva Bethel tendered her resignation to President Anastarcia Huyler on Jan. 23 citing a number of issues which she found unacceptable.
Although she submitted her letter with regret and disappointment she said it is hard to soar like an eagle when you are surrounded by those content with mediocrity.
In her list of grievances she charged that many persons in COBUS were allowed to act in direct contravention of the values established and articulated in COBUS s constitution and to undermine the very essence that allows for a constitutional system of checks and balances, accountability, transparency and integrity.
